A Pest Control Process Built Around Your Home and the People In It

When pest activity picks up seasonally, you need more than a quick fix. Our Pest Control approach covers everything from initial inspection through ongoing monitoring, using eco-conscious methods that address the root cause rather than just the surface problem. Every treatment plan is tailored to your property, your pest pressures, and the environment around your home.

Here is how the process works from start to finish:

  1. A thorough inspection of your property, inside and out, identifies active pest activity and conditions that attract it
  2. A customized treatment plan is developed based on inspection findings and your specific concerns
  3. Targeted pest removal treatments are applied using responsible, regulated products and techniques
  4. Preventative measures are put in place to reduce the conditions that draw pests back
  5. Scheduled follow-up visits maintain protection and catch any new activity early
  6. Ongoing monitoring keeps your home covered between visits
  7. If pests return between scheduled services, a technician comes back at no additional cost

Why Homeowners Across Coastal Connecticut Trust ProfExt Pest Control

ProfExt Pest Control brings certified technicians, eco-aware treatment options, and a satisfaction guarantee to every job. Discreet unmarked vehicles, responsive communication, and service plans that adapt to your schedule make it easy to stay protected without disruption to your daily life.

Pest Control Technicians Who Know What They're Doing

At ProfExt Pest Control, our technicians go well beyond state-required training to stay current with the latest methods, products, and industry standards. That ongoing education means they can assess your specific situation and build a treatment plan that actually fits, not just a generic solution.

Every technician brings the kind of hands-on experience it takes to get results right the first time, and that matters when you want the job done correctly and safely for your family and home.

Warning Signs Your Home May Have a Pest Problem

Most pest problems don't announce themselves. By the time you spot one, there's usually more going on behind the scenes. Knowing what to look for early can save you a lot of headaches down the road.

Common signs homeowners across Connecticut notice before a pest problem gets out of hand:

  • Droppings or shed skins near baseboards, cabinets, or dark corners
  • Unexplained bites or skin irritation that appear overnight
  • Scurrying sounds inside walls or ceilings, especially at night
  • Grease marks or smear trails along walls and floorboards
  • Damaged food packaging, cardboard, or wood materials around the home
  • Webs, nests, or insect clusters near entryways, eaves, or utility lines
  • A musty or unusual odor in enclosed spaces like attics, basements, or crawl spaces

These signs don't always point to a full-blown infestation, but they do mean something is getting in. And the longer it goes unaddressed, the harder it gets to manage on your own.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your services guaranteed?

Yes! Our pest control services are backed by a satisfaction guarantee. If pests come back between scheduled visits—or if a problem doesn’t improve after treatment—we’ll come back out and retreat at no extra cost.

Do I need to leave my house during treatment?

Nope! For most general pest control treatments, you do not need to leave your home. Our products are applied carefully and in targeted areas, so you can go about your day with minimal disruption. If a specific treatment ever requires special precautions, we’ll let you know ahead of time.

Do you offer one-time treatments or recurring plans?

Yes, we offer both one-time treatments and recurring pest control plans. While a one-time service can be effective for addressing an immediate issue, we typically recommend recurring treatments for long-term protection. Most pests are persistent and tend to return without ongoing prevention. Our recurring plans are designed to keep your home protected year-round and stop infestations before they start!

Do you treat for pests inside and outside?

Yes, we treat both inside and outside your home. Typically, we start with an interior treatment to address any existing pest activity indoors. Once things are under control, we focus on regular perimeter treatments around the exterior of your home to keep bugs from getting back inside. If you ever notice activity indoors again, we’re happy to treat the inside as needed—but the goal of our recurring service is to stop pests before they ever make it in!

How do I know if I need professional pest control?

If you own a home—especially in an area with high pest activity—professional pest control is a smart investment. Even if you don’t see bugs regularly, pests often hide and breed in hard-to-reach places. A recurring pest control plan acts like insurance: it helps prevent issues before they start, and if a problem ever does pop up, you’ve got a pro ready to handle it right away. When you pay for professional pest control, you are truly paying for peace of mind.

How much does your pest control cost?

Pricing for pest control varies based on several factors, including the plan you choose, the size of your home, and the type of infestation (if any). Since every situation is unique, we provide custom quotes tailored to your needs. Just give us a call, and we’ll be happy to discuss your options and offer a personalized estimate which typically includes an initial fee and monthly or quarterly pricing for recurring plans.

Joel came out to take care of a yellow jacket nest in a void under an outside eve. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, and afterward we walked around the house and discovered two more nests I hadn't seen before and he offered to remove them as well. Great experience and a fair price. I will be calling ProfExt for future needs.

We had an issue with a black squirrel coming into the corner of a gutter that lead up to the attic on an addition. I was able to text them that morning and have someone here in a few hours. We used our favorite tech Brian who is always amazing and was able to go in our attic on one of the hottest days of the year yet, find the issue and then go outside and close it up and recommend somebody to do the bigger Job that was needed to be done to fix the issue permanently. We love Bryan and professional exterminating and won’t go anywhere else!
